A semi-automatic system for applying Rippatape™ self adhesive tear tape to boxboard packaging
Designed for retro-fit to corrugating machines
The system comprises a platform with up to 8 heads, each head being easily accessible
Easy and accurate positioning of the heads ensures reduced set-up times
Automatic lay-on and cut-off of tape is achieved by a remote manually operated switch
Initial lay-on speed of 100mpm is standard, increasing to a production speed of 350mpm
Reel tension is controlled by electronic link to the corrugator, through an IP converter, which governs lay-on and braking pressure. Constant adhesion and performance is ensured
Versatile tape lay-outs are possible in combination with quick changeover of the replacement reel
Minimal adjustment is needed to run different tape widths for different jobs
Ergonomically designed for ease of use complying with EC directives
To complete the system, combinations of platform layouts and access stairways with guarded walkways are available
