Payne Helps Adrian and RETRAK To Take A Brighter Picture

Issue Date: 26 March 2008
Adrian Cudmore, an employee of Nottingham company Payne and a keen amateur photographer, has raised over £6,200 for RETRAK, an East African charity that provides street children with healthcare, vocational training and placement in new homes.
Adrian recently arranged an exhibition at St Giles’ Church in West Bridgford to showcase a range of landscape images taken by him inIceland and Scotland, six of which reached the semi-final stage of the 2007 Shell Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition.
At the exhibition Adrian sold framed limited edition prints, with all proceeds being donated to RETRAK (www.retrak.org), a charity that Adrian had raised £2,000 for in a previous exhibition in 2005. The new exhibition significantly surpassed this target with proceeds of £4,500 for RETRAK which, when combined with Gift Aid contributions and a variety of corporate matching funding schemes, including from his employer Payne, yields the charity a total of over £6,200.
Adrian is a keen amateur photographer and has lived in West Bridgford on and off, for the last 14 years. Photography is his passion, and something he pursues actively outside ofhis business career as Divisional Business Planning Manager at Payne. He is also a member of the Royal Photographic Society.
“I was completely overwhelmed by the support for the exhibition and it was terrific to share the images with a wider audience, as well as generating a significant contribution for a charity that makes a real difference to children in suchchallenging circumstances,” comments Adrian . “I would like to thank Payne for all of their support, particularly the many colleagues who attended and purchased photos as well as the company’s generous financial contribution.”
