Payne, the leading global manufacturer and supplier of high quality tear tape solutions, has made a key appointment with the recruitment of Li Bingjun (42) as China Market Manager for tear tape. Prior to joining Payne, Li Bingjun sold imported materials and equipment into the tobacco industry inChina, where he developed a wide range of contacts at national and provincial level with China National Tobacco Corporation. Payne and Filtrona Filters are sharing resources in the newly established Filtrona International office in Beijing.

Outside the tobacco sector, Payne plans to put significant resources into developing teartape applications in other consumer categories, where the company has acquired substantial global expertise over the past 25 years.

“Having studied the maturing of the consumer-packaging market in China over the past 15 years, we believe that there is now significant potential for our portfolio of teartape solutions,” comments Graham Goodwin-King of Payne.
