Key Account Manager

Scope of the Role:
Working for the Global Key Account Director, and alongside 2 other Key Account Managers, the role is specific customer facing and through the process matrix manages the customer, customer profitability and customer growth of tear tape and facilitates the wider Coated and Security product promotion to the customer where applicable. The main purpose of the job is:
- Customer management and direction including market growth, customer satisfaction, customer growth and profitability
- Identification and delivery of packaging solutions to deliver revenue growth
- Creating and implementing a GTM (Go To Market) strategy across a defined portfolio of key accounts
- Compliance of the customer interface (quality, environment, health & safety, hygiene, legal compliance)
- To engage with our Key Accounts at all levels and be seen as an expert within our product portfolio.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Specific key duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Customer satisfaction and defined customer account management
- Delivery of category and account plans for the customer
- Delivery of customer objectives and operating plans
- Ensure sustainable growth of the customer business
- Support the marketing function through allocation and engagement of category champions
- Provide coaching support to develop organisational skills in Key Account Management tools and techniques
- Maximise sustainable sales and profits for the customer account
- Ensure Strategic alignment with the customer
- Ensure customer retention
- Management and communication of Key Account teams.
Key Skills and Attributes:
It is essential that you will have the following skills and attributes to fulfil the role:
- Graduate or similar calibre
- At least 5 years senior commercial/supply chain experience in a manufactured product environment of a medium to large size organisation
- Experience of international sales within a b2b environment
- Exposure and experience of working with customer trade marketing departments
- Extensive customer and commercial knowledge
- Willingness to undertake long and short haul overseas travel
- Flexible in working arrangements
In addition, it is desirable if you have knowledge of the following:
- Managing a supply chain
- Process Orientation
- Quality enhancement
- Financial and cost management
