Human Resource Administrator

Location:  Giltbrook, Nottingham

The Coated & Security Products division of Filtrona plc includes the operating companiesPayne, Payne Security, BP Labels Ltd and FractureCode.  We are a global market leading producer of high quality self-adhesive tear tape and a growing supplier of products and technologies for brand protection, document authentication, personal identification, creative and secure self adhesive labels and track and trace.   

Scope of the Role:
Against this backdrop we have a small but dynamic Human Resources team to serve all locations of the Coated & Security Division in the UK and at our sites in North America, Latin America, Asia and Europe.  We are looking for a high calibre individual to provide high quality administrative and functional support to the team, based in Nottingham, reporting to the Director of Human Resources.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties are many and varied but include:

  • Maintaining 100% accurate Personnel files and computerised records
  • Recruitment, new starter and leaver administration 
  • Compile training matrices from PDR’s and associated administration
  • Organise and arrange training courses & events for employees
  • Organise and arrange training programmes for overseas visitors
  • Produce weekly reports for absence management and working time
  • Ad hoc reports from the HR Database and produce mail merges as required
  • Respond to employee reference and other data requests
  • Administrator for employee benefits e.g. Filtrona Sharesave Scheme, Filtrona Pension Scheme, Company Car Scheme; Long Service Awards
  • Maintain appropriate notice boards
  • Provide occasional reception cover
  • Other PA and administration duties as requested by the Director of Human Resources and Human Resources Manager when required.

Key Skills and Attributes:

  • 2-3 years general administration experience
  • Insight into Human Resources or dealing with confidential information
  • Skilled user of Microsoft products and databases
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexible attitude to work
  • Educated to GCSE standard in at least 3 passes at C or above including English and Maths
  • A CIPD related qualification would be an added advantage
