The Coated & Security Products division of Filtrona plc is focused on providing creative solutions that add value to consumer packaging and valuable documents on an international basis. This is achieved through two market facing business streams with separate, focused Managing Directors. These two business streams are Packaging Solutions and Authentication & Identity Solutions.

Packaging Solutions develops and sells solutions based on tapes, labels, closures and seals into the global consumer packaging market, building on a category based approach established in recent years. As well as providing creative functional solutions, the business seeks to add value through print and security at every opportunity. This business trades under the Payne brand.

Scope of the Role:
The main function of the design studio is to create clear, effective print designs and solutions to our varied range of customers.  You must have creative flair and be able to design, produce and deliver high quality graphic designs, artwork and visuals.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Some of the key duties and responsibilities include:

• Use design software to create new bespoke high quality designs for customers together with production of generic design work to be used as marketing tools.
• Ensuring all printed designs produced follow guidelines for printability and slitability.
• Experience in all aspects of pre-press works and be able to work to tight schedules and deadlines.

Key Skills and Attributes:
You will need around three years experience in graphic design, ideally gained in a printing company or design studio and will need to be skilled in the use of all Microsoft applications.  A graphic design degree and competence with Apple Mac and packages such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop would be ideal. A working knowledge of Esko DeskPack and associated image manipulation software would also be beneficial.
